Yesterday, I headed to the permission where we got rained out last weekend.  It was cool in the morning, but then the heat turned up as day the passed.  I went out there with somewhat large hopes, mainly because this area is right next to a known Civil War Confederate camp and plus I had found a flat button and a 3 ringer there before!

First find of the day was a .69 Caliber musket ball.  Then, I

got a slamming hit on my White’s MXT metal detector.  It rang up as a +50 to +60 on the VDI.  Pinpointed and it was down about 3-4 inches.  Here’s what popped out of the hole!
