This isn't so much a What is it? thread, but this seemed like the right place for it. Recently while hunting a camp I dug an intersting Cast I button. Ian has also dug one of these buttons
at the same location.
It differs from other cast I buttons I have seen as top of the "I" seems to be cut off. Tice reports in his book that he has heard these buttons were manufactured at Tuscaloosa Alabama, but doesn't confirm or deny the rumors. He also goes on to talk about reproductions of these buttons being made, but usually don't have the turning marks on the rim. Could this button have been turned to much and cut off part of the "I"?
Pic of the button is question.

of the button I'd love to see pics of it. Just another small variation thats got me asking to many questions as usual.
