James River Plantation Thanksgiving Progressive Candlelight Tour

Explore the history of America's Thanksgiving tradition in Willliamsburg's James River Plantation country just minutes from, the site of America's first official celebration. Visit the historic buildings of Piney Grove at Southalls Plantation Piney Grove (1790), Ashland (1835), Ladysmith (1857), Dower Quarter (1830) & Duck Church (1917) with Tours-By-The-Owner. This tour may be arranged on other dates for groups. Historic bed and breakfast lodging is available on the property - Please inquire. Piney Grove at Southall's Plantation is a National Register landmark and an official site of Virginia's Civil War Trails, Virginia's Bird and Wildlife Trail, Virginia's Time Travelers Program and the Jamestown Discovery Trail.
